Wade drops 55: Heat Ready for Playoffs

Dwyane Wade made a final push for MVP last night, dazzling everyone with an epic performance in front of his hometown fans. They were screaming M-V-3, as Wade scored 55 points, making 19 of his 30 shots. He was burrying threes, fadeaways, dunks, it didnt matter on this night. It was a free clinic and his Olympic coach certainly enjoyed the show. “It’s kind of ridiculous,” Knicks coach Mike D’Antoni told him, “that you’re this good.” That pretty much summed it up as Wade and the Heat captured 4th place in the East and homecourt advantage in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. Michael Beasley is stepping his game up as well, and he’s doing it at the right time. He’s averaging 20 ppg’s and 8.5 rebounds in the month of April and really looks to be playing slower and more under controlled. If Wade can keep up his MV3 mojo and Beasley can maintain this high level of play, look for the Heat to really make a lot of noise in the upcoming playoffs.
