The #2 point guard in the class of 2010 certainly proved he could get his shot off in a variety of fashions. He displayed unbelievably deep range, showed off the step back three, used his body to get it done in the lane, and showed savvy working the screen and roll. All that led to an eruption of 48 points. He dictated tempo by pushing the ball and used his ability to change speed to get in the lane anytime he wanted. An epic performance by Brandon unfortunately went to waste as Pine Crest lost 87-76.
Brandon didn't have to do too much for Pine Crest to pull out another win. About 4 minutes into the game, it was clear....There would be no slaying Goliath on this day. Brandon played very unselfish, not dominating the ball, and playing the role of shooter in the offense. To his credit when the ball was thrown his way he stuck the open jumper, but, as an evaluator I would have loved to see him more assertive. Brandon didn't really penetrate the lane, and to his credit he didn't have to. One thing about being a great leader is knowing when to give your teammates a chance to shine. With Pine Crest being in overwhelming control from the get-go, Brandon decided to defer to his teammates. He finished the game with 8 points, proving he could knock down his jumper from anywhere on the floor, and he could get it off anytime he wanted.
