Not Committed
Kyle is a point guard in a small forwards body. He’s 6-8, has a solid frame, and played the role of facilitator for the Champions of the COP. He doesn’t take a lot of shots, but is a box score stuffer, filling the sheet in a plethora of categories. He ran half court sets, played wonderful help defense, and used his long wingspan to disrupt opposing guards. If Kyle could develop more foot speed and become more aggressive, he has the chance to be truly special.
This young man has an extremely developed game for a 2012 prospect. At just 15 years old, he can do a little bit of everything. Kyle’s most impressive attribute is his basketball IQ. He’s a big, tall, point guard who has a great understanding of how to run an offense as a such a young buck. His jumper is developing as is his quickness. He seemed more explosive today than the last time I saw him. Another thing that jumped out at me was his work ethic. When the kids broke for drinks, he stayed out on the floor to shoot until the line died down. He’s got some work to do over the next few years, but playing at Patterson Catholic should give him an opportunity for great instruction and elite level competition. I’m excited to see what this kid might become.
