This was my first opportunity to see Xavier Henry in the flesh and I was most impressed by his strength and size. Henry has an NBA ready body and it's only midway through his freshman campaign. Tonight, Henry was a little off with his shot but the range and mechanics are both there for him to be a great two guard in the league. Henry showed an explosive first step but came up short near the rim trying to finish two layups. His aggesive nature makes him a matchup nightmare and had a few more deep balls fallen Baylor would not have been able to hang around as long as they did. Henry showed a nice mid-range game and if coaches can pursuade Henry to use it instead of falling back on the three point shot, it could create more space for Henry to get his shots off. Defensively, Xavier's long arms, muscle mass and great footwork made it tough for Baylor to get by him. Henry collected seven steals in total with five of them in the first ten minutes of the game. Henry is well on his way to becoming a lottery pick.
31 MINS, 3-13 FG, 2-7 3PT, 7 STL, 12 PTS
