Henson is the very definition of raw talent. John came to Chapel Hill with the UNC pedigree like many before him. It’s too early to tab him as a disappointment but it is clear that Henson needs a year of seasoning. At first glance his height and length jumps out. This attribute alone will net him in the first round of the draft regardless of what his stats look like for the remainder of the year. Henson doesn’t appear to have a real spot in the rotation but his athleticism and upside get him on the court. Tonight John was guarding perimeter players and making it difficult for them to get off their shot. Henson can be a matchup nightmare once they figure out how to use him in the rotation. In a three minute span, Henson blocked four shots and then went unnoticed.
