On a night where the Syracuse defense got all the credit, Kenny Boynton was not far behind. After all, he seemed to be the only player for Florida that was able to make shots. Kenny made seven field goals with five of them coming from beyond the arc. At the end of the day, Boynton is always going to be a 5-10 spot up shooter. Although his statistical line was impressive, Kenny seemed hesitant all night. Boynton shied away from attacking the heart of the zone and relied on his deep ball to compensate for not being able to get into the lane. If Kenny wants to play in the NBA, he is going to have to make the transition from being a shooting point guard who doesn’t like to play in traffic to a lead guard who wants to run a team.
20 PTS, 7 ASST, 5-14 3PT
