Stefan Jankovic narrows his list down to 5

Posted on 12. Aug, 2011 by admin in Canada Spotlight

After spending the entire evaluation period on the injured list with a stress fracture in his foot, Stefan Jankovic is back at Huntington Prep and his focus is on having a great season, getting good grades, and finding his next basketball home.

Friday, Stefan moved a step closer to figuring out where he'll play college basketball, narrowing his list of options down to 5.  Among his finalists are Wake Forest, Georgetown, Missouri, Florida State, and Purdue.

"I'd like to decide in the fall" said Stefan when asked about a time table for a decision.  "I'm going to take my official visits and figure out the best situation."  So what is he looking for on his visit? According to Stef,  "I'm just looking for a school I'm going to be comfortable with both on the basketball court and in the classroom."  He aspires to major in business and hopes to one day operate his own.

For now his focus is on the upcoming season and making the most of his senior year.  "This season is going to be special.  With the players we have returning and the new ones coming in, I'm really forward to chasing a National Championship."  The Express will embark on their chase with five Canadians on the roster.  Negus Webster-Chan, Tanveer Bhullar, Andrew Wiggins, and Xavier Rathan Mayes will all suit up in baby blue and yellow.  They also have impact Americans such as Ray Lee and Elijah Macon coming in.
