William Buford played all forty minutes this afternoon against West Virginia and made the most of them. Buford put forward his best effort of the season, with a dazzling array of offensive moves for scouts to drool over. William hit mid range jumpers, spin moves, fadaways, a running floater, and the three ball to keep the Mountaineer defense off keel. Once Buford established his jumper, he used the space available to him and started slashing to the net. Buford prefers to pull up and use his floater or shoot from six feet out as opposed to drawing contact and getting right to the rim. On defence, Ohio State plays mainly in a zone and it is difficult to evaluate William. Buford used his length to contest shots and force some poor decisions but he also seemed flat footed and quicker players were able to juke around him. There is lots of room for William to improve on both sides of the ball but the potential is there for him to develop into a complete player.
