Negus Webster-Chan to Huntington Prep

Canadian point guard Negus Webster-Chan has decided to take his game south and attend Huntington Prep in Huntington, West Virginia. According to Negus "The coaches at Huntington have been contacting me for a year and a half now and my parents are really comfortable with them. My mom liked it when we went down in December to watch a game, and I got to bond with the team alot."
Negus has thrived playing on the summer circuit with Team Takeover Canada and his play hasn't gone unnoticed. Both Slam and Scout.com wrote articles after seeing him and college coaches officially have him on their radar. He's currently receiving interest from USC, Syracuse, Nebraska, UNLV, Iowa State, Washington, Oklahoma, Baylor, and Virginia; with many more schools expected to contact him on June 15th when the contact period begins.
Huntington is a terrific fit for Negus as they'll allow him to be a combo guard and explore becomming a full time point. "I'm interested in playing the one for the rest of my high school career, and coach Rob (Fulford) told me I'd be given the chance to play the one quite a bit."
According to coach Fulford, "He's 6-6, he's long, he's definately a mismatch problem for opposing point guards. He can also shoot the ball pretty well. He needs to work on his consistency right now, but we'll get that squared away. He's a legitimate high major prospect and I think he's certainly going to be heavily recruited."
If he continues to develop at the rate we believe he will, I think coach Fulford will be pleasently surprised to find out that he got an even better prospect coming in than he realizes.
