Kyle Wiltjer Will Attend Kentucky !!!

Posted on 28. Aug, 2010 by Nolan Shulman in Canada Spotlight, High School

After securing the #1 recruiting class in the nation two years in a row, Kentucky coach John Calipari has put together his best class yet with his 2011 group.  He locked up the nations #1 point guard in Marquis Teague.  He shocked Ohio State and Syracuse by plucking the countries fastest rising senior to be, Anthony Davis.  He led start to finish before landing Michael Gilchrist, the countries top prospect.  And now, he's rounded out the class by securing a commitment from Canada's Big Fundamental, Kyle Wiltjer

Kyle may not be a one and done candidate like the other three members of this class, but he does fit in perfectly.  He's a great teammate, understands how to play a role, and does all the little things that help get a team over the hump.  He's a terrific face-up four who can knock down the open jumper, pass out of the post, and beat his man off the bounce.  Kyle was part of the Canadian Junior National team that won a medal in San Antonio, part of the Oakland Soldiers Championship run at the inaugural Fab 48 in Las Vegas, and has been part two 6A State Championships.  He's currently Flagrant Fouls #2 ranked Canadian in the Class of 2011

He told ESPNU that his biggest reason for choosing Kentucky was that "Coach Calipari is the best coach for me to achieve greatness".
