RANKINGS: Canadian Class of 2014 Top 5

Posted on 19. Sep, 2010 by Nolan Shulman in Canada Spotlight, High School

With many of our countries 2011's and 12's making the decision to attend prep school in the United States, at home the focus shifts to the class of 2014 stars looking to pick up the load.  This class looks to be very deep and very talented from the limited action we've taken in.

It starts with a household name at the top, Andrew Wiggins.  The youngest member of the Team Canada Cadet team is regarded by some as the #1 prospect in North America.  He'll stay home and play for Vaughn, making them the team to beat in Ontario this year.  Not far behind Andrew is Christian Faith Center Academy shooting guard, Xavier Rathan-Mayes.  Xavier is an outstanding scorer, capable of creating his own shot off the bounce.  He can finish at the rim or pull up for a mid range jumper, a lost art in modern day high school basketball.  In the 3 slot, Grassroots Canada has another elite combo guard in Kevin Zabo.  Kevin is ultra poised, tremendous in the gaps, and can shoot the heck out of the basketball.  Rounding out the top 5 are Quality Education 6-7 power foward Jordan Robinson and St.Michael's College point guard Malcolm Duvivier.
