Continuing his role on the Ontario U17 team last summer, Rohan was an absolute monster on defence. When Loyola turned to a fullcourt press, he used his speed & length to force loose balls and was picking off or deflecting cross-court passes. Two breakaways resulted in two-hand slams to break the game wide open and Loyola never looked back.
Another guy who you can expect to make a leap in our rankings, is 2012 forward Rohan Boney. He's an exceptional athlete, has a better jump shot than he's given credit for, and seems to play the game with hunger and passion. While they mostly use Rohan out of the post, he's certainly capable of stepping out onto the wing and demonstrating his perimeter skill set. I am officially on the bandwagon.
Rohan thought he made a game winner with 2.7 seconds left. Despite not getting the W, Rohan showed tremendous athleticism and a very aggressive nature. He was dominant on the offensive glass all game and was truly impressive.
Rohan is a good defender with decent length and quick feet. I did not see much of his offensive game but he was impressive on D. Boney has a good body and runs the floor well. He's a player that can finish above the rim as well. Keep tabs on this kid as he has a chance to really improve.
